The US
Virgin Islands

Season FINALE

If you’re going to cap off a season of Caribbean chaos, you may as well do it somewhere absurdly beautiful.

The U.S. Virgin Islands are the kind of place that makes you question every life choice that doesn’t involve living on a boat full time. Crystal-clear water, green hills tumbling into turquoise bays, perfect trade winds, and anchorages so pretty they look fake. This is the Caribbean turned all the way up — and we fully intend to do the same.

We kick things off in proper fashion with a YCA Floatchella in Christmas Cove, where the fleet ties up, the music gets loud, and the first order of business is making absolutely no plans whatsoever. Better yet, thanks to our partnership with Pizza Pi, you can skip the provisioning spreadsheets and the sad “what are we doing for dinner?” debate. Keep your focus where it belongs — on the good times — and let the pizza pros handle the hunger situation.

The next two days will be all about racing through paradise, chasing the horizon through some of the most beautiful water in the Caribbean, with plenty of unexpected chaos thrown in for good measure.

And when the sails come down, the celebrations kick up a notch with what might be the most epic award ceremony of the season at the Virgin Islands Boating Expo Gala — a night of cocktails, good stories, and one very rare opportunity to see cruisers attempt to look classy.

Just when you're thinking it's over and you've had about as much fun as you can pack into 4 days, we toss a 5th at you before you even know what's happening. Join your new buddy boats on one last sail down to LimeOut STT where we have rafts reserved on Sunday, with a special Bubbles cocktail served up how Alex would've wanted where all proceeds go to CBF.

May 13th-17th
Starting in Christmas Cove, USVI

Day 1
Chasing Bubbles Raftup
May 13th

12PM - The raft-up begins

Get yourself to Christmas Cove! We've partnered with Pizza Pi for the grub and After Irma for the live music.
Get to the anchorage a day early if you can so that you've got all the details the day of.

Day 2
Race Leg 1
May 14th

This first leg is a proper downwind ripper around beautiful Buck Island and into Long Bay, where a free mooring ballwill be waiting for you thanks to our friends at VIBE (Virgin Islands Boating Expo). Translation: fly every square inch of canvas you’ve got, point it in the right-ish direction, and prepare for the kind of sailing day that reminds you why you put up with leaking hatches and broken refrigeration in the first place.

But don’t get too comfortable. This leg comes with two mid-race challenges, and we can all but promise they’ll have absolutely nothing to do with sail trim. You may need to sail fast. You may need to think fast. You may need to question how this became your life. That’s all part of the charm.

Day 3
Dinghy Race/ Boat Show
May 15th

Pirate themed dinghy race day. Rig up whatever you can to turn your dink into a sailing machine.

The winners of the regatta will get a free pass to the VIBCA Boat Expo Gala the next night! It will be a night of cocktails, good stories, and one very rare opportunity to see cruisers attempt to look classy.

Day 4
Youth Day/ Gala
May 16th

The Chasing Bubbles Youth Days are the heart of it all — the reason these regattas even exist. These days are all about getting local kids out on the water and showing them what’s possible beyond the shore. Because when you show a kid the horizon, you’re not just teaching them to sail — you’re showing them how big the world can be. Our mission is simple: to make a real impact, one child and one adventure at a time, empowering them to chase their own bubbles in life.

Want to get involved? We'd love to have you join the mission, Alex's mission, to make ripples of change in the lives of kids everywhere. You can volunteer your vessel to bring kids out with a chaperone or volunteer some of your time to help on someone else's boat. You can help us make it a day these kids will never forget!

The day will end at the VIBCA Gala where entrants to get free food and drinks! If you're in the top three, enjoy your free pass. For the rest of you, it's still well worth the price. Let's celebrate our last day in style!

Day 5
The Bar is Calling
May 16th

You’ve had a day of giving back and celebrating in style. Before your body tries telling you it's time to rest, we need to get another drink your system.

The fleet is heading straight for Lime Out STT, where half the floats are reserved for the crew and the blenders are already working overtime. They’ve cooked up a special Captain Alex cocktail, and every sip sends support straight to the Chasing Bubbles Foundation and the mission of getting more kids out there dreaming bigger than they ever thought possible.

So don’t overthink it. Grab a drink. Then another. Call it hydration.

Because this time… the kids are counting on you.

What You Need to Know

Coming by sea

The adventure starts on May 13th in Christmas Cove, St Thomas.

Make sure to register your vessel before arrival so that we can make sure we've got a shirt with your name on it!

Coming by air

You made it to St Thomas, USVI — that means you’ve either booked a charter boat or a private vessel:

  • Whether you booked a spot on a charter boat or a private vessel, the event starts in Christmas Cove.

    • Charter guests: We’ll send you all the details for the marina where your boat is waiting.

    • Private vessel guests: You’ll meet your crew once you get to St Thomas (Specifics will be shared as the event nears)

      • Booking a private vessel does not give you the option to choose the kind of boat you'll be on. Instead, it ensures there's a berth with your name on it!

Make sure to land in St Thomas on May 12th to give yourself plenty of time to make it to your vessel before the fleet leaves the harbor!

Once you’ve signed up, your spot is locked in — go ahead and book your flights.

Provisioning will be coordinated with your cabin mates. After that, the galley’s your kingdom — whether you’re living off ramen and PB&Js or caviar and stone crab, the choice (and the adventure) is 100% yours.

Live bold, chase the horizon, and say yes — just like Alex.
