Sharing Beautiful Stories: Indian Bubbles
Chasing Bubbles is dedicated to sharing heartwarming stories of impact and empowerment. Today, we are diving into the wonderful initiatives led by these students who have self-proclaimed themselves “Indian Bubbles.”
Firstly, we want to express our gratitude to Father Melwyn, the advisor for this group of students, for capturing and sharing these beautiful stories and pictures with us. The stories and images showcase the hard work and dedication put into their projects, and we can't wait to spread the word about the positive changes we are making together.
Empowering Action: The Indian Bubbles’ Covid Vaccination Drive
One of our standout ventures led by the Indian Bubbles group was a Covid Vaccination drive. A group of exceptional students from Loyola College Williamnagar – Liangchi, Ilma, Emprish, Lawrence, Trenisha, Askira, Jyothi, and Priangchi – took charge and ensured that the village of Chiringro in East Garo Hills District, Meghalaya, achieved a remarkable milestone of 100% vaccination. It is truly inspiring to see the impact of our initiative reflected in the health and safety of the community.
Empowering Action: Starting a Chicken Business
In an effort to support the growth of these students, Chasing Bubbles Foundation contributed startup funds to some of our students to help them start their own chicken business. Four bright students – Liangchi, Emprish, Ilma, and Krebita – were chosen to embark on this project. With Rs. 25,000 each (or around $300 USD), they raised broiler chickens and diligently cared for them with the goal of saving for their higher education. Through their hard work and dedication, they not only made back the initial investment but also saved additional funds for their education. Their success is a testament to the power of support and opportunity in transforming lives.
Fulfilling Dreams: Nearing Master’s Degrees
Looking ahead, we are proud to see the impact of our contributions on the education and future of these students. As three of them – Liangchi, Ilma, and Emprish – near completion of their master's degrees in Commerce and Economics at St. Aloysius College, Mangalore, we are filled with excitement for their future! Krebita's decision to pursue studies in Meghalaya, her home state, further highlights the lasting impact of our initiatives on individuals and communities.
